Within the project „Voice of children“ second meeting of network „Stronger voice for children“  was planned. All Network members have unanimously agreed that the topic for this traing should be „Communications and Public Relations“. For this purpose experts from the field of Communications and Public Relations were engaged, and they held few lectures and prezentations with focus on the most important themes from this field.

At the training, besides the lectures and presentations, we discussed about the activities within our partnership with Save the Children, Third Optional Protocol and the celebration of 25 years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Training was also attended by two new organizations, Network members: „osmjeh za osmjeh“ from Tuzla and „Bezdan-Sprofondo“ from Sarajevo and they have briefly presented the work of their organizations.

First day of training presentation about basic relations with media was held: what does the journalist wants to know from us, presentation about secrets of TV appearance: Practice or talent, and about basics of crisis communications: How not to make a disaster from crisis.

Second day of training was marked by group works on practical exercises of writing press release, and exercises on the theme of crisis communication.

Training was very usefull since communications and public relations are something that all of the organizations, Network members, are often dealing with and facing within their work.

On this training, a joint action of all organizations Network members  was agreed in order to mark 25 years of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, whis will be celebrated this year. That way we will send a stronger message since every organization will work under the same slogan, send same messages to the public in order to get a higher echo and to raise awareness about Convention and International Children’s Day.
