The first pilot training for education professionals

“The best interest of a child does not mean getting best results into school and having proper behavior. The best interest of the child is to provide them with security and protection, help if they needs it, to grow into a healthy person “- is one of the answers to the change of view of this principle of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, after the training.

The first pilot training for professionals in the field of education based on the Guidelines for determining the best interests of the child, which we developed with the support of UNICEF Bosnia and Herzegovina, was held for teachers, professors and principals from Tuzla. The training module was developed and the training was led by a professor at the Faculty of Philosophy in Sarajevo, dr. Lejla Kafedžić and the hosts of the training were members of the network Association of the Land of Children in B&H and the Association “Our Children” Sarajevo.

We thank the primary schools “Breške”, “Kreka”, “Sjenjak” and “Podrinje” and the Mixed Secondary Traffic School Tuzla and Elektrotehnička škola Tuzla for spending the last working day before the well-deserved vacation with us, questioning the principle of the best interests of the child.

Trainings for professionals in all areas of child care will be held continuously throughout B&H.
