The first pilot training of professionals in the field of family and social protection entitled “The best interest of the child in the field of family law protection” was held last week in Banja Luka with the support of UNICEF Bosnia and Herzegovina
The leader of the training was respected Dr. Suzana Bubić, professor emeritus of family law from the University “Džemal Bijedić” Mostar and the participants are representatives of centers for social work from Republika Srpska (Banja Luka, Prijedor, Doboj, Kozarska Dubica, Laktasi, Prnjavor, Knezevo) and representatives Institutions of the Human Rights Ombudsman of B&H, the Ombudsman for Children of RS, representatives of non-governmental organizations and others.
This module deals with seven thematic units that are extremely important for all professionals whose decisions affect the lives of children and they are:
- Finding out / determining the child’s origin
- Achieving parental care
- Maintaining personal relations and direct contacts of the child with the parent with whom he does not live
- Measures against parents to protect the rights and interests of the child
- Child support and protection of property rights and interests of the child
- International child abduction
- Adoption and
- Guardianship
The trainings will be realized in other parts of B&H from October 2019.
